Artist - Irene Lauden
Laudan has been a printmaker in Kona for over 15 years. Her work has been shown in numerous juried shows as well as many group exhibitions. She studied Fine Art at Okanagan University College and Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Canada.
Having an etching press in her home studio enable her to experiment with many different printing processes.
"It's the process that excites me as there are elements of both the controlled and the accidental that make it exciting when the ink meets paper under pressure, you never can be totally certain what the outcome will be. Printmaking continues to challenge me as it requires an entirely different way of thinking."
